Here are some layout sketches for Lemony Snicket. The Kids are at the bank, waiting outside the manager’s office. This is a good example of staging, and how I like to search for different views of the same subject. You have to try things out until you find the one view that tells the best story, and the one that inspires you to tackle it as a painting.
I thought it’d be cool to share some pre-production work that I did when I was working on my film, ‘Dodoba’. Most of these sketches and development drawings were made over the course of 3-4months while I was working on the story while some of them were made during production!
